Cake, Cupcake and Cookie Depositors
A depositor puts the same weight of batter, filling or dough into every cavity, tray after tray, with no piping bag and no waste. We supply the range from Formex, built near Barcelona: bench depositors, automatic machines, cookie formers and injectors. As Formex’s exclusive Scottish distributor, we match the machine and nozzles to your batters, trays and daily numbers.

Depositor FAQs
How much does a cake depositor cost?
It depends on semi-automatic or automatic, tray width, nozzles, hoppers and add-ons such as a tray loader or topping applicator. We don’t publish prices. Send us your products and tray sizes and we’ll quote.
What’s the difference between a depositor and an injector?
A depositor puts batter or filling into an empty tray, case or mould. An injector pushes filling inside a product that’s already formed, such as a doughnut, croissant or muffin.
Can a depositor handle chocolate chips?
Yes. The Formex MA and MAS pass chips, fruit and nuts up to about 15 mm, and the bench-top DPV handles larger pieces.
Will it take our trays?
The automatic Formex depositors take trays from 40 to 80 cm wide, including standard 60 × 40 bakery trays, plus paper cases and moulds.
